Samantha Humphrey, Ed. S.

Hello! Welcome to my info page. The 2024-25 school year marks my 12th year as a Bengal and my 22nd year teaching.  Prior to teaching here, I was at Jefferson High School in Boulder for 10 years.

My husband, Troy who is a Fisheries Biologist for the State of Montana and Head Wrestling Coach for Jefferson High School. We have three grown children, 2 dogs, 3 horses and 3 chickens and two finches.  I also have an aquarium in my classroom, but I am not sure how many fish are in there.

I believe that education is key to ensuring options and opportunities in life.  As a life long learner, I try to instill the same excitement for learning and the same sense of curiosity and quest for knowledge in my students. I hope to help them excel in school so they can do their part in creating a better world.  I believe each of us has the ability to learn and grow and I hope to demonstrate that education is the key to making dreams a reality, and I strive to teach a person's ultimate success is each individual's personal responsibility.

I feel a large part of a child's success in school is related to their parent(s) or guardian(s) involvement so I work hard to develop a strong partnership with them, so together we can help your child succeed.  To accomplish this, I will email a link to our weekly agenda and will inform you of any moments of pride or issues of concern. Parents are encouraged to email or call at any time they have a question, concern or suggestion!
